David joined Plenary Group at its inception in 2004, and has been actively involved in the structuring, negotiation and execution of a number of projects undertaken or tendered by the group.
He held the role of Head of Origination until 2011, after which he was responsible for the oversight and management of Plenary's interest in the retail and commercial precinct at South Wharf in Melbourne, developed in conjunction with the Melbourne Convention Centre project.
Completion of the sell-down of Plenary’s interest to co-owners Vicinity Centres in early-2017 has allowed David to transition into his current role as Chief Investment Officer.
As Chief Investment Officer, David has responsibility for Plenary’s capital deployment, specifically including the implementation and management of the group’s corporate debt arrangements and relationships, and oversight of new investments and divestments at a corporate level.
Before joining Plenary, David worked at ABN AMRO in the Melbourne-based Infrastructure Capital team. ABN AMRO's Infrastructure Capital team had, at that time, a market-leading role in the delivery of social infrastructure projects, responsible for more than 30 successful projects.
