Bénédicte has more than 20 years' experience in infrastructure, project finance and corporate governance in both Australia and France.
Prior to joining Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec in February 2017 as Director, Asset Management, Infrastructure, Bénédicte was the CEO of Keolis Downer, which is the largest private multi-modal transport operator in Australia and which runs in particular the Yarra Tram in Melbourne. Under her leadership, the business grew significantly and delivered superior customer satisfaction and operational performance. Bénédicte has overseen numerous PPP and franchise contract bids. She has also worked on the Victorian Desalination projects from its bid phase in 2009 to its $3.7 billion successful first refinancing in 2013, which she led. Bénédicte is deeply experienced in negotiating complex long term contracts with multiple private, government and international parties.
Bénédicte started her career as a lawyer in France. She was the co-founder and partner of the law firm De Gaulle Fleurance & Associate where she handled large merger and acquisition transactions.
Bénédicte holds a Baccalaureate with distinction in Mathematics and Science and an MBA from ESSEC in Paris. She also holds a postgraduate degree in Business and Tax Law from the University of Strasbourg.
