BRISBANE, QUEENSLAND – The Nexus Consortium, which includes Plenary Group as financial arranger and equity investor, has been selected by the Queensland Government as preferred tenderer to deliver the A$1.6 billion Toowoomba Second Range Crossing project.

Plenary Group Managing Director, Paul Oppenheim, said the selection of the Nexus Consortium added to Plenary Group’s growing success in civil infrastructure projects.

“Plenary bid teams are having significant success in both road and public transport projects across Australia and North America as governments increasingly look to ‘availability style’ PPPs to procure infrastructure on-time and on-budget”.

The consortium, which also includes Cintra Infraestructuras Internacional S.A., Acciona Concesiones S.L., Acciona Infrastructure Australia, Ferrovial Agroman Australia and Transfield Services will provide a world class road design, construction, operations and maintenance solution.

As part of the Nexus consortium, Plenary Group will now work closely with the Queensland Government to finalise contractual documentation. Construction is expected to commence in late 2015.

Construction of the Toowoomba Second Range Crossing is expected to be completed by late 2018.
