Plenary has teamed with Australian Football League club Richmond Tigers on a three-year partnership supporting its Next Generation Academy (NGA).
The NGA introduces the game of Australian Rules Football to boys and girls from indigenous and multicultural backgrounds aged 5-18 years, and also provides pathways for coaches, umpires, and administrators.
Richmond’s NGA zone covers a significant part of Victoria, including the regional centres of Mildura, Swan Hall, Echuca, Bendigo, Shepparton, Wangaratta and Wodonga.
Richmond CEO Brendon Gale said the connection with communities is the foundation upon which the club’s success is built, which is why the partnership with Plenary is so critical.
“Plenary’s support will enable us to build engagement at a grass roots level that will build more connected and healthier communities and deliver great football outcomes,” Mr Gale said.
“The size of our zone means partnerships are going to be critical to deliver the best and most efficient outcomes and we are thrilled the Plenary saw fit to partner with us.
“From a football perspective it is the top- end indigenous and multicultural talent the club will have access to, but our commitment goes well beyond that. We want boys and girls across the entire zone to benefit from Richmond’s presence.
“There will be some inspiring stories over time and both Richmond and Plenary look forward to sharing those.”
