Queensland Schools Project Queensland, Australia

Plenary, through the Plenary Schools consortium, has partnered with the Queensland Government to deliver a package of ten schools across South East Queensland.

The Queensland Schools Project is at the cornerstone of the Queensland Government’s Strategic Plan for education in Queensland and will play a key role in meeting the unprecedented demand for education in the State.

The project will see new schools delivered at Pimpama, Burpengary, Pallara, Ripley Valley, Springfield, Griffin, Bellbird Park, Caboolture and Redbank Plains over five years. Two secondary and eight primary schools will be built catering for around 10,000 students during peak periods of enrolment.

Plenary Schools will design, construct, commission, partially finance, maintain and provide facilities management services for the schools over a concession period of thirty years.

Construction started on Stage One of the project in January 2014 starting with a Secondary College in Burpengary and a Primary School in Pimpama.

The first package of schools opened at the start of the 2015 academic year, with a further four schools scheduled to open for the 2016 Academic year.
